Overview:

Tapcart needed to move from a static, no-code mobile app design tool to a flexible, scaleable, no-code & low-code mobile app design tool. After being hired in 2022, I pitched a complete redesign of their design tool and called it App Studio.

Key Features:

  • Updating from a website based interface to a SaaS product Interface

  • Allow merchants to design and code in the same interface

  • Rebuild the component library for both App Studio and mobile apps

  • Optimize for performance and ease of use

Design Process:

  1. Customer Interviews to define needs and pain points.

  2. Lo-Fi comps to map out the user journey and visual options.

  3. High-fidelity UI design using clean, minimalist aesthetics.

  4. Prototyping and user testing to evaluate real-time interactions.
